"Hello this is Diane, Al's daughter, who requested that i send the following message. i am surviving on the love and a feeding machine for god knows how long. i have difficulty swallowing, cancer has not been cured.they found an enlarged lymph node behind the tumor, that is quite active. i have a doctor's appointment on the 29th of october, to discuss the sistuation for chemo. on the 23rd of september, they inserted a feeding tube into my small intestines. thats how i am surviving. i have spells of coughing up phlem and mucus. i am on heavy medication. i have difficulty sleeping , for long periods of time. i try to watch TV, but can't seem to get interested. i am very weak,and so isn't my voice. i have a hard time speaking because i have so much salvia in my mouth. i can only go to my bed or chair with a walker, with help. i'm under the care of hospice. eating is not an option for me, however, i do remember good foods, and how great they use to taste. please continue with all your prayers and keep hoping for a miracle. after my last operation, i was visited by my parish priest Tom Buckley, who had gave me the Blessing Of The Sick...i had hope to se him again this week. however, he suddenly passed away last week-end with a blood clot., he was only 72 yrs. old. one of the nicest priest i have ever know. your prayers are most welcome,thanks to the support of my wife and family, and friends. i'll be just fine. i want to thank you all !!!
